Assess Readiness to Apply
- Complete the APPFA Gap Analysis located within the APPFA Getting Started Guide.
- Review the Advanced Practice Provider Fellowship Accreditation (APPFA®) Application Manual.
- Contact the APPFA Team (APPFA@ana.org) to determine the appropriate review cycle for your program.
- The APPFA program conducts 4 review cycles annually (see table below):

Application acceptance will begin at 9 am EST on the start date and end on the last date or when the cycle is full.
Please note: Depending on application volume, you may be placed into the next available cycle when we reach documentation review capacity. Notification will be provided here when a cycle is full. To enhance the application experience, APPFA applications will soon be submitted and processed through an online portal. Please contact appfa@ana.org for more informtion.

- If the PA or APRN license and national certification was obtained outside the United States, the Program Director and Specialty/Service Line Coordinators and Site Coordinators (if used in the program) do not need to have the license or certification evaluated for comparability to US degree requirements.

- After the submission of your APPFA application form the APPFA team will confirm your programs eligibility. The APPFA team will be in contact with you within 5 business day after submitting your application form.
Organizations Outside of the U.S. Tax Notice:
- Organizations outside of the U.S. may be required by applicable law to pay or withhold taxes from any payment to ANCC.
- Organizations outside of the U.S. are responsible for paying the full fees to ANCC exclusive of any non-US taxes or withholdings. Organizations outside of the U.S. are responsible for any required withholdings or taxes owed in addition to payment of the full fees to ANCC.
- ANCC may require Organizations outside of the U.S. to provide proof of such tax payment or withholding to the applicable tax authorities.
