ANA is pleased to see this action by members of congress to acknowledge the importance of National Nurses Week to recognize the contributions of nurses and encourage the people of the United States to observe the week in their communities.

In support of National Nurses Week 2024, the American Nurses Foundation (the Foundation) is teaming up with Chipotle, Skechers, and Create Amor to bring exclusive deals and opportunities that give back to nurses for the month of May. All proceeds raised through their support will go directly to the Foundation’s work to undertake vital research, support nurses, and improve health care for all.

On Tuesday, May 7, the American Nurses Association (ANA) will host its second annual Mary Eliza Mahoney Lecture Series installment entitled “Activism and Advocacy: Building on the Legacy of Mary Eliza Mahoney.” The series is one of the ways that ANA will be commemorating nurses during National Nurses Week running May 6-12.  

This year’s Nurses Week theme is “Nurses Make the Difference” to encourage nurses, health care professionals, employers, community leaders and the public to recognize and promote the vast contributions and positive impact of nurses worldwide.
