American Nurses Credentialing Center Kicks Off Text to Give Campaign During World’s Largest Nursing Conference
National CARES Mentoring Movement and Happy Tails will benefit from donations made through The American Nurses Foundation’s Text to Give Campaign
ATLANTA –– October 8, 2025 — The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) today opened the 2025 Magnet & Pathway Conference™ in Atlanta and launched a Text to Give campaign benefiting the local community and the nursing profession. Proceeds will support Happy Tails Pet Therapy, the National CARES Mentoring Movement, and the American Nurses Foundation (ANF), the philanthropic arm of the American Nurses Enterprise.
Each year, the Magnet & Pathway Conference convenes thousands of nurses from across the United States and around the world to share best practices, elevate the profession, and celebrate nursing excellence. To extend the conference’s impact beyond the convention center, ANCC is inviting attendees and the public to participate in a Text to Give challenge open from October 9 through October 11, 2025.
The National CARES Mentoring Movement is a national initiative that focuses on the recruitment, training and engagement of mentors to provide meaningful support to low-income communities of color. Activated in 58 cities across the country, including Atlanta, their work aims to provide children and low-income parents with emotional, social, academic and career-readiness to become successful contributors to their family, community and society.
Happy Tails Pet Therapy is a volunteer-run nonprofit that provides services focusing on wholistic healing for people of all ages and backgrounds living within the Atlanta metropolitan area. Facilitating guided interactions with specially trained animals in a variety of settings such as hospitals and nursing homes, Happy Tails aims to help people recover from emotional, physical or cognitive trauma and promote overall well-being.
“We are honored to partner with the National CARES Mentoring Movement and Happy Tails Pet Therapy—two organizations that embody compassion, equity, and healing,” said Angela Beddoe, Chief Executive Officer of the American Nurses Enterprise. “At the heart of our work is a simple truth: healthier communities begin with healthier people. Through this campaign, we’re investing in the well-being of our communities. Together, we have the power to transform our nation’s health through The Power of Nurses™.”
ANF will use funds from the Text to Give campaign to support health and well-being programs for nurses and the communities they serve, such as through the Nurse Well-Being: Building Peer & Leadership Support program. Part of the donations will also go toward scholarships and fellowships that create career and leadership pathways for future and current nurses.
Previous Text to Give campaigns have raised more than $50,000 to support the local nonprofits within conference host cities as well as ANF research programs, educational grants and nurse well-being programs. Text "Nurse" to (301) 960-7161 to receive a link to the online donation form.
