American Nurses Credentialing Center Board of Directors Announces New Commissioner Appointments For 2026
New leaders appointed to ANCC Commissions to guide accreditation and credentialing programs
Atlanta, GA –October 6, 2025 – Today, the Nominations Committee of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) Board of Directors has approved the following appointments and reappointments to its Commissions. All terms will run from January 1, 2026, until December 31, 2029.
Commission on Magnet® (COM)
- Melody Cubas, BSN, RN, PMH-BC, representing a clinical nurse, for an initial four-year term of service.
- Rachel Start, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, representing ambulatory care, for an initial four-year term of service.
Commission on Pathway to Excellence® (COPE)
- Kevin McEwan, DNP, RN, NEA-BC, FAONL, representing a nurse executive, for an initial four-year term of service
- Edtrina Moss, PhD, RN, MBA, NE-BC, AMB-NC, CPHQ, CLSSGB, representing ambulatory care, for an initial four-year term of service.
Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (COA-PTP)
- Cory Church, PhD, RN, NPD-BC, representing academia/education, for a second four-year term of service.
- Julie Dagam, PharmD, BCPS, FASHP, FPSW, representing a pharmacy/medicine residency program, for an initial four-year term of service
- Kim Failla, PhD, RN, NE-BC, NPD-BC, representing a residency directory, for an initial four-year term of service.
- Whitney Lerch, PA-C, representing an interprofessional physician assistant postgraduate program, for a second four-year term of service.
Commission on Accreditation in Nursing Continuing Professional Development (COA-NCPD)
- Amanda Comer, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, ACNP-BC, ENP-BC, ENP-C, representing an APRN and content expert in nursing continuing professional development and joint accreditation from an accredited organization, for an initial four-year term of service.
- Marjorie Valle, DNP, MSN-Ed, RN, representing academia/education, for an initial four-year term of service.
